NOTICE OF WORKSHOP

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that:

 The Board of Commissioners of Public Utility District No. 1 of Thurston County will conduct a workshop on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.  The workshop and meeting will be held at the offices of the District at Suite 301, 921 Lakeridge Way SW, Olympia Washington.

Due to snow and ice, we were not able to read all of our meters in January. Your January consumption may have been estimated.

Thurston PUD Commissioners would like to provide you with Outdoor Faucet Covers to prevent freezing of your outdoor faucets this year. Limit 2 per service address, while supplies last. You can pick them up in the office during normal working hours. We also have them stocked in the field vehicles, if you see a technician at your water system just ask for them. (Limited to Thurston PUD owned system customers only.)

Thurston Public Utility District was officially formed in 1936 by a vote of the people. We currently own and operate 153 water systems, approximately 3,000 connections and manage over 1,000 connections for water systems owned by towns, private companies and homeowner associations. Thurston PUD provides water planning and utility services to the citizens of Thurston County, and also own and operate water systems in Pierce, Lewis, Grays Harbor, and Mason counties.

The PUD is overseen by three Commissioners, elected by voters of Thurston County, elected to serve on the Board for 6 years. The Commissioners represent the three districts in Thurston County.

Commission meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the PUD offices at 921 Lakeridge Way SW, Suite 301 in Olympia. The meetings start at 5:00 p.m. and are open to the public.
